Unlike many broadcast automation companies, RDS often tested its products in-house. Lowell Register, the company's founder, has owned several radio stations throughout his career and used the Phantom software as well as RDS's traffic and billing system for years. Every revision was borne from hands-on experience in the industry we strive to serve.
The Early Days
Founded in Perry, Georgia, in 1980, RDS has been innovating in the broadcasting automation industry since the early days of personal computing. When most radio stations still used paper scheduling and constantly-manned equipment, RDS customers enjoyed efficient, cost-effective automated systems.
